Full day explore- Explore the world-renowned Swartberg Pass by traveling to Prince Albert and back. A light lunch at the little Karoo Town of Prince Albert (named after Queen Victoria's husband) is followed by a tour of the town and region discovering its early roots and history.
Half-day explore- A sun downer or sunrise trip up to Swartberg Mountain Pass, experiencing the plant and animal life and learning more about the geology of the mountain and history of the pass. A Cango Valley circular tour, exploring our unique plant life (like Aloe and succulent species) our birds and the geologically impressive Redstone Hills.
Circular Route via Prince Albert and Meiringspoort. Guests are introduced to the arid great Karoo landscape and its diverse succulents and Kanoid bush by skirting the nothern slopes of the Swartberg Mountains enroute to Meiringspoort. Spend time at the 60 meter high waterfall in Meiringspoort before snaking through the rest of the poort to the peaceful Little Karoo "Dorpie" - De Rust from here we tyravel past Dysselsdorp and then via Oudtshoorn to our destination or your guest house.
A day visit to the historically renowned Gamkaskloof. this unique exploration takes you unto the Swartberg Pass down into the Gamkaskloof, also known as "The Hell" you can experience the tranquility of this secluded "Kloof" that were, for nearly a century, home to a small community that lived in isolation from the "outside world". Traditional "Kloof" meals are prepared by the Joubert- Family who are the only remaining remnant of the original "Klowers".
